Vendor Love — MLMart

Happy Monday!

I had a fabulous weekend of relaxation & helping out my friend/colleague Detailed Engagements with her table design for a great fundraising event, CHaD (Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock), to help raise money at their Storybook Ball. We designed our table based on the book, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory and it looked spectactular & yummy! I’m looking forward to the pictures since I completely forgot my camera to take pretty pictures of it!

Anyway, now onto the main event of this blog…spreading the vendor love!

If you could’ve seen my expression and awe when I came across MLMart in my Facebook newsfeed, you’d think I was nuts! A friend of mine posted one of his pictures on her wall & I was just so captivated by his talent. So, being a bit obsessive about some things, I just stalked his page scrolling down and down looking at his work because I couldn’t take my eyes off it.

Here’s a little sneak peak of what he does….

Isn’t it just unbelievable!! How does he do it, you ask? Simple, really, or it is to him at least! He takes a high resolution digital photo, blows it up to really see the details & replicates it on paper with a pencil.
Before
After
Did I mention he is AMAZING!? If you hadn’t figured out by now, I’m pretty passionate about his work. I just absolutely love it and want to share it with the everyone I can!
So, in my excitement, I just HAD to have one! I decided for my upcoming anniversary, I would have him do one for me. The hardest part was picking the picture, but I think I picked the right one. Mind you, I LOVED the digital picture that my other BFF Jeff Turner @ Black Thumb Studio took to begin with…..
So, when I saw this, I was COMPLETELY blown away by it….
This really is just raw talent that you don’t come across everyday! Let me tell you, it looks even more striking in person & I was a very happy girl when I saw it!! 🙂
As I mentioned before, I’m VERY excited about his talents, that I’ve decided to add this unbelievable talent as free gift to my clients when they book my Luxury Coordination service. It’s such a unique & personalized way for me to say thank you to my couples.
If you haven’t already, check out his work here! Even if you’re not one of my clients & want one, I’m happy to share and he’d be happy to have you as one of his clients!
~Cheers!

New “Crew Member” Welcomed

Happy Fall!
The craziness of this week is why I love what I do! No matter what is thrown my way, I handle it with a smile and “it’ll get done” attitude! So, now that some of those fires have been put out because I truly did not want to overshadow this very exciting announcement!
I’m very excited to introduce my new Assistant Coordinator/Designer, Natalie LaBonte to the Inked Events family.
Natalie comes to Inked Events with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from St. Anselm College and a creative passion for design & crafts. She is a Navy wife of Keenan, who is currently stationed in Norfolk, VA, and spends any time she can with him.
She brings a creative spark to the Inked Events family that I have thoroughly enjoyed in the last few months and I look forward to what our creative minds can bring to you! We both belong to a fabulous women’s group, Women Inspiring Women, and she sent me a random, out of the blue email reaching out about wanting to learn about the wedding industry. That email & many lunch dates later have led to a fabulous collaboration between us. I’m very excited to have her on board!
We’re going to take the wedding industry by storm….watch out for us!
~Cheers!

NH Bridal Show 2013

I’m so excited to announce that we’ll be doing our first bridal show that we can barely contain ourselves!!!

We’re heading up to Mt. Sunapee Resort on Sunday, October 20, 2013 to meet brides to be, new vendors and to see the fantastic foliage in New England. How exciting to those brides to be, who will  be entered to win a 3 day/2 night getaway for just attending! Maybe they’ll let me sneak my name in?! 😉

We’re putting the finishing touches on our mock up table that we’ll be displaying to give you some inspiration & also thinking about what other goodies to giveaway. I’ll give you a little hint about the table…purple will be involved (I know, shocking!).

Plus, we’re excited to be giving away one these fabulous hand-painted totes from Just Me…  to a lucky winner.

…did I forget to mention there’s another little present inside, a stunning hand-painted, customized glass by Glasses by Danni.

I just LOVE to give out presents! 🙂 If you’re attending, make sure you stop by to say hello & enter to win! And, you just never know what else I will come up with by then to add to the giveaways!

We’re excited to meet you…see you there!

~Cheers!

Wedding Planning 101 Presentation

I can’t believe that summer is just about over, the kids are all going back to school, the weather is changing and before I know it, I’ll be shopping for Christmas presents. I’ll be honest, I’m looking forward to the fall since it’s my favorite time of the year! I’m a huge fan of scarecrows, pumpkins and those dark, rich colors! Perfect color combinations for weddings!

Anyway, I’ve been a busy little bee here and have been slacking with my blog postings….do forgive me! Here’s a little bit of what I was doing….

Last week, I was a guest speaker at Deja Veil Boutique for a Wedding Planning 101 roundtable discussion with brides to be! We had such a fabulous evening chatting away about their upcoming weddings. We discussed tips on how to bring their ideas together; making they’re wedding uniquely theirs, choosing the right vendors & timelines. We even helped a bride set her date!

Deja Veil wanted to create a place where brides could be comfortable and have the opportunity to pick the brain of a planner, as well as, talking to other brides. I wanted to create a tablescape to give the girls some inspiration on how to tie their personality into they’re wedding. We ran into a little snafu with our original idea, so we had to improvise and decided to use items that Deja Veil had in store and some things I had on hand. 🙂

Thanks to Creative Flowers & Gifts for providing an amazing centerpiece!

Here are some of the fabulous door prizes that we’re given away:

A fabulous hand-painted tote from Just Me….

…and inside was a pretty hand-painted wine glass from Glasses by Danni….

Than, we had this beauty… And, what girl doesn’t like a pretty clutch bag?! This is a hand sewn (talented girl, I must say!) clutch bag from the fabulous Sew Sarah R. She can customize any size, shape or look you want!

I wanted to keep it for myself, but I was a good girl and it gave it away to a lucky bride!

Check out what Deja Veil crafted up with their new vinyl machine ….

….and so much more from other local vendors!

Thanks to everyone who came out for the event! We’re looking forward to the next one they have planned!

Make sure you “Like“us on Facebook to stay up to date on all future events!

~Cheers!
